Samsung Gear 3 To Come With A Curved Display?

The Samsung Gear 2 is still fresh on store shelves, although word has it that the Korean company is already prepping its sequel.

According to a "source familiar with the hardware" who spoke with PocketNow, the Samsung Gear 3 could launch very soon.

The smartwatch successor will feature a curved, rectangular face which will be a bit taller than the 1.6-inch screen on the Gear 2 although not quite as "extreme" as the elongated Gear Fit.

The report also states that the Gear 3 will have very thin bezels with high brightness and color saturation.

It might also pack a cellular radio although will reportedly miss out on the built-in camera.

The curved display is supposedly "very pronounced" and "significantly" more rounded than the Gear Fit.

Like other Gear devices, the Gear 3 will continue to run Samsung's own Tizen OS.

As far as release dates go, the Gear 3 could make its debut at the IFA 2014 Samsung Unpacked event - alongside the Gear Solo and Galaxy Note 4.
