Samsung Readying 1080p Windows Phone handset?

Samsung is reportedly planning to resume its support for the Windows Phone platform with the launch of a new 1080p handset.

A device codenamed the Samsung SM-W750V has appeared on the South Korean company's website, listing features including a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 display, LTE support and the Microsoft OS.

According to PhoneArena, the smartphone was recently approved by Bluetooth SIG, which indicates that it will be released in North America in the near future.

Samsung has previously supported Windows Phone 8 with the release of the Samsung Ativ S, but has never launched a 1080p device running the Microsoft OS.

The Korean firm has also revealed that its flagship Android smartphone, the Galaxy S5, will touch down in March or April of this year.

The mystery Windows Phone handset could be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.

We are optimistic is seeing the new Samsung running Microsoft OS.
