Audi Discussing With Apple About iOS Integration Into Their Future Cars

After announcing their partnership with Google, German car manufacturer Audi admits it still wants to work with Apple to get iOS integrated into it's cars of the future

Car giant Audi has revealed that deep level Apple integration is still very much on the company's agenda despite recently working closely with Google to bring Android to its new cars.
Speaking at Audi's press conference at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, Head of Development Electrics and Electronics Ricky Hudi admitted that the company has a desire to go beyond just working with Google as they look to 'redefine mobility'.

"Audi and Google have been successful partners for many years. Cooperation goes back to 2004 with the integration of Google Earth functionality." says Hudi.

"It was a logical step to go to Android with 80 per cent of the worldwide smartphones being Google."

"We do not leave the Apple devices out. We are also in discussions with Apple to integrate it in the same way.”

The revelation is good news for Apple fans and comes as Audi has been showcasing a wide range of innovative motoring solutions including the second generation of its auto-piloted car, an Android Smart Display tablet device specifically crafted for motoring and a new laserlight headlight system that's three times as powerful as an LED headlight set up.
