Apple iPhone 6 To Feature Flexible Wraparound Display?
Apple's future iPhone devices could feature flexible wraparound displays, a patent filing suggests.
The Cupertino firm has registered a filing for a bendable screen made using a powder Liquid metal process, according to Patently Apple.
A phone with a wraparound screen would allow users to view content on the front, back and sides of the device, but Apple's patent notes that there will be non-touch surfaces at the top and bottom.
The document also states that the device will use a gyroscope and accelerometer to adjust the display depending on the user's viewing angles.
Furthermore, the patent filing mentions that the display materials can be moulded into a variety of different shapes, including hollow cylinders, tubes, triangles and rectangles, sparking rumours that it could be used in different product categories.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 6 next year, but the technology may not find its way to the firm's smartphone line until future generations.
